The Vintage Tearoom

Welcome to Just Grand! – There are a few things that are quintessentially British, traditional tea drinking, home baking, good old fashioned service, a warm welcome and family ideals are among them.

We are proudly a predominantly neurodiverse team, from our owners to our staff. This means our team members may think, communicate, and process the world in unique ways, bringing creativity, passion, and dedication to everything we do.  We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone, but at times, this may show up in small ways—whether it’s needing a little extra time during busy periods, communicating differently, or approaching tasks in our own way. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and in return, we promise a warm, heartfelt experience filled with delicious tea, fresh bakes, and genuine hospitality.  We thank you in advance for embracing our differences and supporting a business that celebrates neurodiversity!  Mondays are Sensory sensitvie days feel free to pop in should you need a quiet day out.

We aim to give you a little touch of nostalgia as we are located in the middle of a beautiful Victorian Arcade, Leeds City CentreThe Grand Arcade was built in 1897 and has three seperate glass door entrances.  Access is a few steps up from the Grand Theatre and for a truly unique vintage experience we accompany vintage crockery and cutlery complimented by the most scrumptious baked goods!

We pour Black, Green, Herbal or White in the best quality loose leaf tea, housing 25+ flavours; or sip a trusted Yorkshire tea whilst eating freshly baked cakes, speciality scones and unique afternoon tea options every day! Lavishingly catering for most dietary requirements, including vegan, gluten/dairy free and halal – we require at least 24 hours notice to prepare.

We have a heavy Vintage theme, perfect for private hire and are specially popular for Hen&Stag Do’s, Pre-Theatre  Brunch, Receptions and Entertainment – please see our Facebook, Google or Instagram posts for ideas.  Our Tearoom is busy baking and serving customers most days and therefore telephone bookings are not recommended.  Should you wish to taste our unique Afternoon Teas we would encourage that you book in advance by email.  You will be required to pay an upfront £5 per person security deposit (deducted from the bill on the day) to secure your food and table(s), The fee is non-refundable and transferable only once.

Please use the bookings button or email: [email protected] to request your date, time and party size.  We suggest you give plenty of notice as weekends are busiest and we wouldn’t you to miss out!  Sundays are mostly private and subject to Afternoon Tea reservations only.

In-keeping with inflation the weekends carry a 10% service charge together with bookings for six(6) people to boost staff morale.  To see our full terms and conditions see the refund policy page.
